Aside from being my wonderful wife, Laura assists me with posing and lighting. She has an amazing eye for detail and is wonderful to work with.
I was born in upstate New York, but my heart and home will always be in North Carolina. I haven’t really gotten the chance to travel as much as I would like so far in my life, but I’m still looking forward to the future. I’m currently the head counselor at the Cary Family YMCA in Cary, NC while attending NC State University for English Composition. Like Zach, when I’m not at school, or work you can usually find me behind a camera or under a car turning wrenches.
My first photography experience was when I was in middle school. My father let me borrow his Canon AE-1. I never really used anything besides a simple point-n-shoot until then, but there was something special about that camera. After that I was hooked. I currently shoot with a Nikon D40, an 18-55mm and a Nikon 35mm ƒ1.8. I also shoot with the AE-1 when I have some extra rolls of film handy.
I guess you can say that I'm from a little bit of everywhere. I've moved about fifteen times in three different states and also in three different countries. I'm a photography major at Indiana Wesleyan University. My passion is for photography. This passion in large part stems from my desire and love of telling stories. I've discovered that photography is a great way for me to share amazing stories with others. In short, you can almost always guarantee that my camera is close at hand. Photography has truly a large part of my life.
